This place is the best! We do not live in the area so anytime we are in town this stop is top of our list! Local, yummy and friendly! The pecan wedding cookies are the family favorite! The pig sugar cookies are a town classic! Highly recommend!
Stopped in after having a early dinner at the local seafood restaurant and they were gracious enough to not tell us they had closed a few minutes earlier and we didn't notice until we saw the hours when we were walking out but thankfully we were fast and apologized profusely. The double chocolate chip cookies didn't stand a chance, they were gone before we got home!! The brookie, and the cake we picked (can't remember the name but it was like a banana bread and a cake had a baby lol) it was delicious! We will definitely stop by again next time we are in Smithfield!
My husband and I had Yummaries bake our wedding cake and to say that it was beyond our wildest dreams, is an understatement. We were so amazed at delicious and beautiful our cake turned out! We wanted something different, and we have always loved their angel food cake, so when they said they would give a tiered version a shot, we were ecstatic! We got so many compliments on it from the look to the taste! It was the perfect addition to our perfect day! :D
I love Yummerie’s, my only complaint is their hrs. When I need a specialty cake on the run for one of the guys at work they are closed. We love to celebrate birthdays with good cake! They do have the best!!
This is a gem, located in Smithfield, va. Everything I've gotten was exceptional. The focaccia is the 💣 ( jalapeno cheddar, herb and the country ham w/ cheedar). The desserts are to die for (apple pie, pumpkin scone, cookies). Next time I'll get the cake 😋
Wow!! Visited Main St. to pop into some vintage shops and stopped in to this bakery. We didn't find any good vintage items, but we did find plenty of awesome treats. No regrets, except that I forgot to take photos of all the goodies we got before they were gone. I won't forget next time and there will definitely be a next time! We bought a 1/2 dozen of peanut butter cookies, a 1/4 of a lemon pound cake, lemon bars, a slice each of German Chocolate, Coconut & Chocolate Chocolate Cake. Prices were reasonable, especially for the quality of these desserts. You can see their menu online as they carry an extensive amount of items including breads, bars, cookies, cupcakes and cakes. One of the things I like most about this bakery besides the cheery, helpful employees is the labeling info and cake portioning. Most items have labels with storage and freezing instructions which is extremely helpful. They also sell some cakes in 1/2 and 1/4 pound sizes which is perfect for smaller families or when you may not want an entire pound cake. For clarity, I saw this for pound cakes & do not know what other cakes this may apply to. The cake slices are HUGE! My husband and I were able to share a piece. Even with cutting a slice in half, it still was like we each had a full slice! The cake is moist and the icing is very rich, so you might want a glass of milk on hand. The lemon bars are the best I have ever had. Seriously. The best. The lemon filling is light and almost fluffy while the crust is the perfect thickness. If I would have known how good they were, I would've bought two boxes. A trip back is in the very near future. I don't eat peanut butter cookies, but my husband said they were soft and pretty good. I recently visited Yummaries Bakery and was blown away. The pastries are absolutely incredible, everything tastes fresh, homemade, and full of flavor. They have such a great selection that it’s hard to choose just one thing, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality you get. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and they truly make you feel valued as a customer every time you walk in. Every visit feels like a special treat. If you’re anywhere near Smithfield, this bakery is 100% worth the stop!
They made a really nice birthday cake for my daughter’s birthday. We have also tried and liked their focaccia bread. The owner and workers are very friendly.
I absolutely love this bakery. Great customer service. A wide variety of cakes, cookies, pies, brownies, biscuits, and breads. The cake slices a very generous for the price ($7). I can eat off of it for 2-3 days. Cookies are a good size as well, larger than a typical drink coaster. All of their items freeze very well. Apple pay, credit and cash are accepted. They are located in the quaint small downtown area of Smithfield, VA. There are several shops along the street. Parking is mostly parallel but there are a couple of parking lots in walking distance. The best time to go is on Saturday mornings when the nearby farmer's market is in season.
My wife and I love this place so much that we make the 40+ mile pilgrimage to Smithfield, VA from Williamsburg, VA, every few weeks. From cakes & pies, to cookies, breads, spreads, and more... we haven't had anything yet that wasn't delicious. I'm actually enjoying one of their delectable molasses cookies as I sit here writing this review. This is just one of several delightful stops along main street in Smithfield.
